Those first few weeks of life are some of the most important moments to capture. Your baby will never be this small again and they grow and change so quickly. As a mother, I want to document this precious stage for you - I want to give you something to look back on. As a photographer, I want to create beautiful portraits that you will treasure forever!
Over the last 6 years of photographing newborns, I have learned that most mother's want pictures of their baby but not everyone wants or needs a full newborn session. The Simply Baby mini session is the perfect solution. It's great for those who want a short and sweet portrait session and a few of their favorite digital images.
Mini session clients receive the same excellent customer service experience and access to the same portrait art options as other clients. The only difference is baby is all wrapped up, the session is shorter (about an hour), and you qualify for special mini session pricing for upgrades!

What is a Newborn Mini Session?
The Simply Baby newborn mini session is a shortened version of a traditional full newborn session. The session lasts approximately 45-60 minutes and baby is fully wrapped/swaddled during the majority of the session to help calm and soothe them. They are photographed either awake or asleep and different wrap colors, bonnets, headbands, props and backdrops are used to create a diverse gallery of images. The goal of the session is to create a beautiful gallery of approximately 15-20 final images for you to choose from.
How much does the session cost? What is Included?
I have 3 simple packages for you to choose from:
1. Session & 3 Digital Images: $229
2. Session & 5 Digital Images: $299
3. Session & 10 Digital Images: $399
The session fee includes the 45-60 minute session in the Lincoln & Lucy Photography studio, use of the studio wraps, bonnets and accessories AND your favorite 3-10 digital images!
To make things even easier for you, just a few short days later, you will get access to a private online proofing gallery. This way you can make your choices in the comfort of your own home. Once you make your selections, you will receive your favorite images in a high resolution digital format. And you are welcome to print and share them as you wish!
Additional digital images and portrait art offerings are also available at special Simply Baby mini session rates (but there is absolutely no pressure or obligation to purchase more)!

FAQ
Where is your studio located? Do you photograph newborns at home?
The cozy Lincoln & Lucy studio is located in historic Everett Public Market building in downtown Everett, WA. All newborn sessions take place in the studio (that's where I have the best access to all of my props, accessories and lighting equipment).
When should I book my session?
As soon as possible! I only schedule a few mini sessions a month! Most clients book their session at least a few weeks before their due date. We won’t actually choose a date for your session until your baby is born, but by booking early, your session is reserved. Most newborn sessions take place when baby is 5-14 days old.
What if my baby is older? Can I still book a session?
Yes, absolutely! Chances are, they won't sleep like a younger newborn, but you'll still receive beautiful images of your baby!
How do I book my session?
That's easy - just send me a message HERE and I will get right back to you! Booking is super easy. I send over a standard photography agreement and your invoice. Everything is signed for and paid online.
What should we bring with us to our newborn session?
There is no need to bring anything special. You will have full access to all of my wraps, bonnets and headbands. If you do have a special blanket or stuffy, you are welcome to bring it.
Can the photos include the baby with parents and siblings?
Yes! Siblings or Parents can be added for an additional $50 fee. To keep things simple (and within the time constraints of a mini session), please choose one or the other. My full newborn session option is great for those who want, newborn, siblings, parents and family portraits.
What if I want un-wrapped shots or specific poses?
A mini session is much shorter than a traditional newborn session, due to this, specific poses are not usually offered. Most un-wrapped poses require baby to be in a deep sleep - which takes a greater amount of time.
With that being said, I do usually start the session with simple, natural portraits of baby on a white or black backdrop before I wrap them - so your gallery will include both wrapped and unwrapped portraits.
When the session is complete how long will it be before our portraits are ready?
You'll receive access to an online proofing gallery just a few short days after your session!
How much does it cost to add additional images or products?
Your Simply Baby session includes special pricing on additional images and portrait art products.

What is the difference between the newborn mini session and a full newborn session?
There are many similarities between the two options however the main difference is that the full session lasts much longer (usually around 3 - 4 hours) and you have a much larger gallery of images to choose from. The full session also includes unwrapped/unswaddled poses and family, parent and sibling portraits are part of the session. Full session digital image and print packages range from $399 to $699 (plus newborn session fee of $149).
